Stock Market Challenge Volunteers
November 7 in Springfield (Taconic High School students will attend)
Middle school/high school student event 10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Collegiate event: 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
The Stock Market Challenge is an investing simulation. Having completed the learning module Take Stock in Your Future, students come to test their investing knowledge, as well as their decision making and teamwork skills, against each other to see who will earn the highest return on their investments.
Volunteers needed for: Event registration (day or evening), Event print station (day or evening), Event Traders (day or evening).
During the daytime event, students explore what it takes to succeed on Wall Street during the largest single-day JA Student Stock Market Challenge in North America.
In this high-tech stock market simulation, student teams are “given” $1,000,000 to invest in over 50 fictitious stocks. With trading days lasting just 60 seconds, the goal is to build the highest portfolio net worth in a frantic 60 “days.”
During the evening, corporate and collegiate partners compete in another simulation event.
