Berkshire Theatre Group’s mission is to support wide-ranging artistic exploration and acclaimed performances in theatre, dance, music and entertainment. Berkshire Theatre Group’s celebrated four stages reflect the history of the American theatre; they represent a priceless cultural resource for the community. Our vision is to be a center for creative work that enriches, educates, invigorates, transforms, and strengthens our community for the better.

BTG produces 10 or more theatrical productions every year adding up to over 160 live performances, and presents approximately 40 stand alone events which includes internationally touring concerts, regional original music, cover and tribute
bands, films, comedians, circus shows, dog shows and readings.

Since 1929, BTG has trained young artists and pre-professionals who follow a professional development pathway from the Berkshires to Broadway and beyond. BTG PLAYS! also offers many performance opportunities for youth, four programs with Pittsfield Public Schools, summer camps, field trips, and a touring show reaching 7000+ students in 25+ towns annually.
