As a non-profit educational broadcast station, WTBR-FM does not air advertising of any kind. During breaks, the station runs a mixture of underwriter acknowledgements, and public service announcements (or PSAs). The PSA Manager would work with our radio staff to manage these announcements. The responsibilities of this need include:
- Developing a log of currently broadcasting PSAs, as well as tracking when those PSAs should start and stop playing on air.
- Locating and downloading new local, regional and national PSAs from sources such as the Ad Council.
- Converting the PSA audio files, if needed, using Adobe Audition audio editing software.
- Adding the PSA audio files to our ENCO DAD radio playback automation system.
Training will be provided for this need - while knowledge and comfort with computers is a must, experience with the above software is not required to participate!
