An incredible project is underway to build a pocket-park on the corner of Lincoln and Wellington Streets in Pittsfield. When the park is completed it will have concrete abstract letters, a bookhouse and more. Unistress is doing most of the heavy-work but they need more help to complete this project. The park is built by Mill Town Capital to honor Veronica and Kenneth Kellogg who loved this neighborhood. Construction of the park is being done by Unistress in honor of Sylas and Kasper Stone.
Volunteers are needed to help on Saturday, July 16th with a variety of tasks:
Help us keep our volunteers hydrated; hand out water, Gatorade, coffee and snacks to volunteers.
Help to feed the team by grilling hamburgers and hot dogs.
Construction help: Steel-toed shoes are required for any construction help. Safety glasses, gloves and hard hats will be provided for those doing tasks that require using tools. Skills needed: read a tape measure and turning a wrench.
