Who We Are

Rural Recovery is a program that leads and supports a strong recovery community in South Berkshire County. Using peer-led, person-centered guidance, the program supports people affected by substance use, their families, and those in recovery. Rural Recovery embraces multiple pathways to recovery, supporting people no matter which pathway they have chosen, or where they are on their journey. Rural Recovery operates the South County Recovery Center at 67 State Road in Great Barrington, MA. The Center fosters a no-cost, non-judgmental atmosphere. The Center reduces harm, helps people identify goals, and connects them with resources available to aid in achieving them. Rural Recovery serves as a safety net for anyone affected by substance use.

What We Do

The mission of Rural Recovery Resources and the South County Recovery Center is to lower the morbidity and mortality associated with substance use and to foster a culture of compassion and empathy in our peer-driven community. We are committed to engage, assist, refer, and empower people who are affected in any way by addiction; to improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed life, and strive to reach their full potential, in a judgment-free atmosphere.
