The Christian Center is the oldest nonprofit human service organization in the Berkshires. Founded by local Methodist Church. It began as a settlement house known as the Epworth Mission to offer needed services to an influx of recently arrived immigrants seeking a better life. Those services continue today as our population is a mix of newly arrived immigrants, working poor, elderly, and the homeless.
